"Unregistered Small Arms"? USA's

"Nate Richards" idea from another web site:

"Privately Owned Weapons"?

"The Military loves its acronyms.
Gear and concepts are often given some pretty tortuous full names,
just to get a cool or pointed acronym out of it.
Originally they just went for the nearest thing to a pronounceable word, or might have picked a full name
that reinforces the basic concept, like with "sonar" since "son" is latin root for "sound".
Now, though, they are getting more psychological/political.

Anyway, I wonder if they will start calling civilian rifles "POW's" for psych effect?
Privately Owned Weapons.
For the soldiers sent on the inevitable homeland operations?
"We're not oppressing or stealing, we're liberating... this is a rescue mission" sort of subliminal monologue.

We should come up with our own anagrams, especially with all these veterans coming home.

Instead of "Privately Owned Weapons", how about "Unregistered Small Arms"? USA's

It might help shore up the guys with patriotardic tendencies against future gun-grabbing attempts..."

I like it.

At least half of my weapons are USA's and yep, I do like it. :23_28_100s:
........................

Here's a few more:

UAW (Unregistered Assault Weapon in lieu of United Auto Workers)

PBR (Patriotic Black Rifles in lieu of Professional Bull Riders)

CSA (Carbine Semi-Automatics in lieu of Confederate States of America)

FLAG (Fighting Laws Against Guns)

:ok:
